LightMail has the ability to send text messages to your mobile phone to notify you of events related to your LightMail account (such as when a document you sent is signed) as well as for multi-factor authentication during login. LightMail will only send text messages to you if you opt in and provide us with your mobile phone number, which you can do on the Account page when you are logged in. You can configure the events that will cause a text message to be sent to you, and you can opt out at any time by deselecting those events or removing your mobile phone number from our system. We will not use your mobile phone number for any other purposes without you first opting in. Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply.
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we collect and store. LightMail and this website use SSL to protect the transfer of all sensitive information. The LightMail servers reside in physically secure facilities that are accessible only by authorized personnel. If there is a security breach by an unauthorized person that materially affects you or any of your customers, we will notify you as soon as possible.
It is your responsibility to keep your LightMail password safe at all times. We are not responsible for any unauthorized information disclosure or system access resulting from you revealing your password in any way to another person or system. LightMail passwords are stored with a one-way encryption algorithm, meaning we cannot view or retrieve them if they are lost. If you forget your password, you can reset it by clicking the “I forgot my password” link on the LightMail login page.
